How To Decorate A Bottle Of Vanillia Extract
Now that we've all had a run a risk to go our Bootleg Vanilla project started… It'due south time to start dressing upwardly our bottles to get them set up to give every bit gifts in a few weeks. {yeah, the holiday season is Not that far away!}
Start, The canteen. I decided on recycling some single serving 187ml wine bottles that I got on sale at my local grocery store for $ane.00 a bottle. At present, that was a deal that I couldn't laissez passer up so…
if you lot find something like that, take advantage. All you need to do is sanitize the bottles in the dishwasher and they are good to get. If you can't notice any bottles like that you tin always order them online or many retailers like Ikea, The Container Store and such accept 8oz. bottles available for auction. Hither are a few online options…

Once you've selected your bottle and so you lot need to get your labels fix. This is the FUN function!! Download the free printable label that I created for you…
{click on the prototype to download for your very own personal use!}
Now, you have a couple of choices…
- ~You tin print the label on regular light weight paper and so glue to the bottle. Simple, easy, straight frontward.
- ~You can take it to the side by side level and impress it on white cocky adhesive label paper, like this kind from Avery. Cut the labels out and advisedly identify on the bottle. Again, pretty easy!
- ~For a merely stunning presentation you tin print the label directly onto some plain fabric and then affix to the bottle with spray adhesive. This is my FAVORITE method!!
My fabric of choice is a simple crinoline. Not only is it elegant, but the sheerness of the fabric lends to a fun presentation if you choose to leave the vanilla beans in the bottle. Whatever lite weight fabric volition work for this application every bit long as information technology is light in color and light enough to go through the printer.
Here is how yous impress on the fabric…
- ~Cut your cloth to viii.5 10 xi
- ~Spray a slice of carte du jour stock with spray adhesive {I use Elmers Craft Bail}
- ~Quickly affix the fabric to the card stock
- ~ Brand sure your printer settings are set for heavy weight paper and for a loftier quality impress
- ~Run the fabric affixed to the card stock through the printer
- ~Give it a 2nd to dry and then gently pull the textile off of the card stock
- ~You'll be surprised {well, at to the lowest degree I was} just the cloth really is only a footling tacky afterwards that
Now, all you have to do is cut out your label, fray the edges, spray with Elmers Craft Bail and carefully affix to the bottle. That's it!
All that's left to practise is to clothes up the bottle. I used some sealing wax and a wax sealing postage to add the fun ruby-red wax element to the chapeau of the bottle.
I and then tied some Divine Twine effectually the cervix of the bottle and added a vintage looking pin. Simple and sweet! I know that if someone showed up on my doorstep with a goodie like this I would be thrilled!!
Let me know if you lot have any questions, I would be happy to aid!!
